It’s almost February 2026, the month when sneaker releases really start to take off after the holiday slowdown. Brands roll out their strongest line-ups, collaborations get announced, and the hype begins to build toward spring.
But for now, we’re listing the most notable releases of February for you. And we’ll show you how to protect them, so they last longer.
Why February is an important month for sneakerheads
Traditionally, February is a strong month for releases. Brands want to become visible again after the holidays, so new collections are introduced and limited editions drop before the spring season truly begins.
What makes February unique:
- There is less competition than in March and April, making it easier for brands to stand out.
- Prices are often more affordable than later in the season.
- It’s the first real chance to grab spring collections.
- Valentine’s Day releases appear, often in pink or red colorways.
New sneaker releases – February 2026
New Balance 1906 L
Sneaker meets loafer. Sounds strange, but New Balance makes it work. The 1906 Loafer takes everything that makes the silhouette iconic, open mesh, curved overlays, the 860v2 sole with ABZORB SBS pods, and pours it into a penny loafer shape.
The result? A shoe that doesn’t just blur the line between heritage and modern design, but completely erases it.

Nike SB Dunk Low Pro x Bronx Girls Skate – Black and Challenge Red
Bronx Girls Skate, founded in 2020 by Mel Ramirez and Kava Vasquez, puts the female skate scene of Playground 134 on the map. This Dunk Low, their first collaboration with Nike SB, is a love letter to NYC.
A black-and-white base, stingray leather with pebble texture, and overlays edged in green, orange, and red straight from the NYC subway. Three sets of laces in those same colors, BXGS graffiti on the translucent outsole, “The Bronx, The World” on the heels, and NYC charms at the back. Poetry by Kava and Mel on the insole completes the story.

Layers of brightly colored synthetic leather and mesh, tongue label with the Greek flag, and all the elements that made this colorway legendary.

Protect your new releases immediately
You’ve secured your favorite sneakers in February: congratulations! Before wearing them for the first time, there’s one crucial step: protecting them with a protector spray. Especially in February, this isn’t a luxury.
The weather is still unpredictable. Rain, snow, and mud are hard to avoid. Your new sneakers are vulnerable. One unlucky day and they won’t look new anymore.
That’s why you should apply a protective layer. The benefits:
- Creates an invisible barrier against moisture and dirt
- Prevents stains before they happen
- Extends the lifespan of your sneakers
- Makes cleaning much easier
You can apply REINS crystalline protection easily with the following steps:
- Clean your sneakers. Even brand-new pairs can have factory residue.
- Use the ultrasonic sprayer to apply two layers of REINS protection. Both layers can be applied one after another.
- You can wear your sneakers immediately, but avoid walking in the rain during the first 72 hours so the crystalline protection can fully bond to the material.
Extra maintenance tips for February
If you take good care of your sneakers, they’ll last much longer. These tips help you maintain your collection:
- Dry your sneakers properly after wearing.
February is often wet. Snow, rain, and mud can soak into your sneakers if they’re not protected. Clean them quickly and stuff them with newspaper. Let them dry completely before storing them. - Remove salt immediately.
Road salt is your sneakers’ biggest enemy. If you walk through it, clean your sneakers the same evening using the REINS sneaker cleaner. - Rotate your new releases.
Don’t wear the same pair every day. Give them time to rest and breathe so they last longer. - Keep the packaging.
Keep the box, extra laces, and tags. It increases resale value and helps with proper storage.
February 2026 offers huge opportunities for sneakerheads who are prepared. Whether you love retro classics, new collaborations, or performance sneakers, make sure you’re ready for release day.
And don’t forget: protect your new releases from day one. Spending just a few minutes applying REINS protection and maintaining your sneakers with sneaker cleaner can add years to their lifespan.
Which February release is at the top of your wishlist?
